FFA Officers Travel to Elementary Schools
March 8, 2019
FFA officers arranged their annual celebration of FFA Week, which is Feb. 16 through Feb. 23. President and Vice President, Zoe Davis and Faith Messenger, held a coloring-sheet contest for the Elementary schools in Lewis County. Roanoke, Peterson-Central and Leading Creek Elementary Schools returned their creative coloring sheets for the officers to judge, with help from Mrs. Simms and Ms. Griekspor. “It was very difficult to determine winners. They were all so very creative,” said President, Zoe Davis.
Mrs. Diana Garrett, Zoe Davis- President, Faith Messenger- Vice President, and Eliza Weber- Sentinel, traveled to the three Elementary Schools on Wednesday to hand out the awards to the overall winners within the five grades.
The club also had specific dress-up days throughout the week. They planned to have different activities each day, but due to the work stoppage, they were only able to do t-shirt decorating. Five shirts will be selected, then the winning t-shirt will be the design for next year’s shirt. The winners have not yet been determined.
