Girls Soccer:

The girls’ soccer team opened their season with a tie 0-0 against Midland Trail Aug. 17. Since then, they have taken home two wins to Braxton (7-1) Aug. 23 and Frankfort (6-2) on Aug. 25.

Boys Soccer:

The boys’ soccer team won their season opener against Wheeling Central Catholic (5-0) Aug. 18. They traveled to Braxton Aug. 23 and won (4-1).

Football:

The football team opened the Friday Night Lights season with a loss to Bridgeport (45-17) on Aug. 24. Micheal Hobbs ran the two touchdowns, and Jered Griffith had the field goal.

Golf:

The golf team opened their season to Robert C. Byrd on the 2nd of August at the Sunnycroft golf course; they lost with a team score of 178, while R.C.B. had a score of 177. On Aug. 9, they beat Fairmont East (175) and Elkins (280) with a team score of 173, at Apple Valley golf course. On Aug. 15, LC (173) traveled to Green Hill, along with North Marion (171), Elkins (229) and Clay-Battelle (233). On Aug. 16, LC (186), Bridgeport (194), Preston (188) and Grafton (171) had a tournament at Stonewall  Resort golf course. On Aug. 22nd, LC (173) traveled to Elk’s County Club golf course to compete against Elkins (240), Fairmont East (175) and Fairmont Senior (169). On Aug. 23rd, they lost to Grafton with a team score of 178, and Grafton had a score of 172.
