The LCHS Minutemaids captured the Big 1o Conference title with a win over the Robert C. Byrd Lady Eagles April 29.

Junior Alexis Hudson had the win for the ‘Maids.  The ‘Maids went the circuit in an early inning to go out to a significant lead to claim the title.

The ‘Maids opened up the sectional tourney strong with back-to-back on the road double-header wins.  The #3 ‘Maids opened up with a win over #6 Nicholas County May 2.  They turned around and beat #2 Braxton.

However, they fell to the eventual champ Herbert Hoover 3-1.

The ‘Maids fell short of a sectional title as they fell to Braxton County 4-2 to be eliminated.
