JROTC Passes Air Force Inspection
October 1, 2015
JROTC, under the direction of Master Sgt. Bill Linger, and Lieutenant Colonel Jack Dennison, recently passed its Air Force Inspection. The inspection included a detailed evaluation of the program including observations, interviews with cadets and supervisors.
Inspections occur every three years.
The drill evaluation was strong as well as logistics and the morning briefing. In the briefing phase, cadets presented an in depth PowerPoint that highlight past activities as well as plans for this year.
The program grew in numbers last year which really helped with the evaluation, cadets said.
The cadets represented the school in the Homecoming Parade and have presented the colors at athletic events. They are planning to host the Annual Canned Food Drive for “Our Neighbor” in Weston.
Plans are also underway for Veteran Day festivities including the parade, ceremony, and possibly Bring-A-Vet to School.

I would like to commend Master Sgt. Bill Linger and Lieutenant Colonel Jack Dennison on the fantastic job they are doing with the JROTC program at the Lewis County High School. The amount of work and dedication they devote to this program and its young men and women is phenomenal. They are truly helping to shape and develope some of our future leaders.
