Local Homecoming Queen Earns National Recognition
December 13, 2016
LCHS’s very own Homecoming Queen will represent the school, county and state in the 58th Annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl Football Classic in Memphis, TN Dec. 30.
Senior Jackie Kovach was chosen to represent LCHS in the America’s Homecoming Queens National Pageant Registry and will participate in bowl week events and activities.
“Young ladies from across America are selected to participate in this memorable and fun-filled experience which includes the patriotic pre-game show and our halftime show,” Pam Kimery, spokesperson for the AutoZone Liberty Bowl, said.
She added that Kovach, and other queens, will be participating in the halftime show which will feature a “nationally-known entertainer.”
Kovach said she was honored to be selected to participate in the Liberty Bowl.
As a participant, Kovach will appear at reception, attend rehearsals, tour the Greater Memphis area, participate in the Liberty Bowl parade and visit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Kovach applied to be a part of the registry following Homecoming events in September.
She is an active member of many clubs and organizations while a student at LCHS.
