Boys’ Soccer Impresses

The LCHS boys’ soccer team lost some key seniors last year but that has not stopped their success this year. The team’s record sets at 7-3-2 as of now, staying in games with their tough defense led by senior’s  Garrett Clemons, Nick Atchison and Sy Darquenne.

“We started off strong, then we acquired some injuries to players and that made some of the younger players step up,” Clemons said.  The veteran senior player added, ” We are really young, but we don’t lack any talent.”

The team is looking to finish the season strong against Big 10 rivals.

They hope to peak for sectionals.

“Sectionals have been our goal since summer practices, and now we really have a shot moving past sectionals.”

The Minutemen’s next game is Thursday, September 29th against section rival Elkins.
